OVERVIEW

Ramon is an employee of Infusionsoft as their Regional Development Manager NY/NJ (read more about his May 2012 appointment here). He is also  technology evangelist, who is passionate about helping small businesses grow their businesses using technology as a strategic asset.

He is a journalist, event producer, speaker, author and editor of Smallbiztechnology.com. His two books include “Technology Solutions for Growing Businesses” (Amacom- 2005) and most recently “Technology Resources for Growing Businesses” (2011). His next book (by Wiley) is about how small businesses can use Facebook to market their businesses and is expected to be published in the Summer of 2012.

As a journalist and writer, Ramon has written thousands of articles (product reviews, interviews and more) about technology for small businesses. His work appears in Smallbiztechnology and also in Allbusiness.com, Entrepreneur, Inc. OPEN Forum and Black Enterprise amongst many other publications.

Ramon is a speaker, whose audiences routinely use the words informative, energized, great, funny, it rocked, when describing the content and style of Ramon’s speaking. In addition to his own events, such as the Small Business Summit and Small Business Influencer Awards, Small Business Technology Tour and Small Biz Big Things, Ramon has spoken at the Inc 500, OPEN Forum at CES with Guy Kawasaki, Black Enterprise Entrepreneur’s Summit and many other events. Ramon also educates big companies in better reaching small businesses and has been engaged by Verizon Wireless, Symantec and other companies to invigorate and educate their sales teams.

Ramon is not “just” a technology writer, but, as a former small business technology consultant, he has years of hands on experience in building networks, installing software, upgrading computers and supporting the technology that small businesses use on a daily basis.

He is often quoted in the media, including Crain’s NY, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, San Francisco Chronicle and other media.

As a tech evangelist Ramon has done a variety of interesting and cool things this includes hosting Intuit‘s, “Who Wants To Be A Billionaire” contest with Startup America at SXSW 2012, serving as a judge in Vertical Response’s Teen Tycoon Contest 2012, special guest expert on Tech Essentials with Jane Applegate and speaking with President Obama in the first Google Plus Hangout and so much more.
