Galaxy Watch

Samsung has now begun accepting pre-orders for the LTE variant of the Galaxy Watch FE in the United States. This model was previously announced in June alongside the Galaxy Watch FE. It is available exclusively in the US for now.

Availability in other regions has yet to be disclosed. For those who have held back on purchasing the Galaxy Watch FE due to the lack of LTE support, Samsung’s latest release offers a welcome solution. The new variant is priced at $249.99.

This is higher than the Wi-Fi only version that launched at $199. Consumers will have the choice of three colors: Black, Pink Gold, and Silver.

Galaxy Watch FE LTE launch

The watch is expected to begin shipping in October. The Galaxy Watch FE LTE features an eSIM. This allows users to download a SIM profile directly to the watch.

Once activated, this enables the watch to make and receive calls, send messages, and access the internet independently from a smartphone. The smartwatch comes equipped with a 1.19-inch AMOLED display protected by sapphire crystal glass and enclosed in an aluminum casing. It boasts 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, and a 247mAh battery.

Health monitoring features include heart rate measurement, blood oxygen saturation level detection, ECG, irregular heart rhythm detection, fall detection, and a Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) sensor for measuring body composition such as body fat and skeletal muscle. Samsung has not yet announced a release date for the LTE variant in markets outside the US.
