PC Redemption

The PC version of Red Dead Redemption is set to release on October 29, 2024. Rockstar Games has collaborated with Double Eleven to bring this classic game to PC, 14 years after its original launch on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The PC port will include notable upgrades and exclusive features.

Players can expect support for Nvidia DLSS, AMD FSR 3.0, ultra-wide monitors, and more. The game will also come bundled with the Undead Nightmare DLC, continuing the story from Red Dead Redemption 2. One surprising detail is the game’s efficient use of storage, requiring only 12 GB of hard drive space.

While the game can run on a traditional Hard Drive, an SSD is recommended for better performance. The minimum system requirements include an Intel i5 4670K or AMD FX-9590 CPU, Nvidia GTX 960 or AMD Radeon R7 360 GPU, and 12 GB of storage.

The recommended requirements are an Intel i5 8500 or Ryzen 5 3500X CPU, Nvidia RTX 2070 or AMD RX 5700 XT GPU, and 12 GB of storage on an SSD. A recent comparison video highlights the superiority of the PC version over the PlayStation 5 version. The PC version appears to best capture the original game’s atmosphere, with improvements in lighting, shadows, draw distance, and detail.

Pre-orders for the game went live today, revealing the cost of $49.99. This price includes the complete single-player experiences of Red Dead Redemption and the Undead Nightmare expansion, as well as bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition. However, it does not include multiplayer.
