Throne Details

NCsoft and Amazon have revealed their post-launch plans for Throne & Liberty, the highly anticipated MMO set to launch in the West. The companies promise significant updates every three to four months, bringing major system changes and new experiences to the game. To avoid overwhelming players, content releases will be carefully managed.

For example, T2 gear will be introduced after the launch of 2-star dungeons, and the rune and trait resonance systems will not debut at the same time. However, some content, like the Halloween event, will launch simultaneously in both Korean and global versions. Starting in October, Amazon will introduce new content faster than it did for Korean players.

This includes the Halloween event, two new PvP modes, and new open world bosses. November’s updates will bring the tax delivery event, castle sieges, the first season of arena play, and possibly 2-star co-op dungeons. December is set to deliver the “first major update” for the game, aiming to keep the momentum going as Throne & Liberty builds its player base.

Players can look forward to these updates transforming the gameplay experience in exciting ways. More information will be shared as the updates roll out. Throne and Liberty is set for a full release in western territories on October 1st.

Players who purchased an Early Access Pack can start playing five days earlier on September 26 at 10:00 AM PST / 17:00 UTC. The packs come in Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate editions, each with different rewards but the same early playtime. Servers for Early Access will be separate from those used for the full launch.

This ensures that players joining on October 1st can enjoy a fresh start alongside other new players, rather than facing experienced players with advanced progress and premium cosmetics. Early Access begins on September 26 at 10:00 AM PST / 17:00 UTC.

Early access and launch details

Players will receive various in-game items like morphs, titles, and outfits, which increase with the level of the Early Access Pack purchased. The packs will be available on the official website, redirecting users to the appropriate store pages. Availability may vary by region, but the game is expected to launch on multiple platforms including Steam, PSN, and Xbox.

The full release is set for October 1 at 10:00 AM PST / 17:00 UTC. New players entering on this date will join separate servers from those used during Early Access, ensuring an equal footing for all. Early Access players can create new characters on either the Full Release servers or continue on the Early Access servers.

A limited-time free transfer option will allow players to move characters between servers from September 26 to October 27. This staggered release approach aims to provide a balanced and fair gaming experience, avoiding undue advantages for early access players and ensuring a robust start for everyone on the official launch day. Throne and Liberty is a free-to-play MMO, but it also offers paid versions with additional benefits.

The base version is free, while the Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate editions come with extras like early access, special in-game items, unique emotes, titles, and Lucent, the premium currency. The game will be officially accessible for free starting October 1, 2024, at 10 a.m. PST. However, those who purchase the Early Access Packs can start playing on September 26, 2024, at 10 a.m. PST.

The Standard Edition includes the base game and additional in-game items and currency. The Deluxe Edition offers more in-game items and currency than the Standard Edition, along with exclusive offers. The Ultimate Edition provides the most lucrative collection of in-game items and currency, exclusive content and benefits, and five-day early access to the game.

Throne and Liberty’s free-to-play model with optional paid editions allows players to choose how they engage with the game, supporting both free and paid gaming experiences. The global release is just around the corner, and fans won’t have to wait long to dive into this new MMO.
