Copado Suite

Copado has unveiled a suite of AI agents designed to revolutionize DevOps by offering support at every stage of the software development lifecycle. The new AI “super agents” are designed to amplify human potential by automating routine tasks and enhancing strategic work. The suite includes DesignAgent, which ensures strategic alignment and clear user story definitions, BuildAgent, which accelerates development by generating code suggestions and providing real-time troubleshooting, TestAgent, which enhances software quality by generating test cases, identifying failure points, and offering optimization suggestions, ReleaseAgent, which automates deployment scripts and coordinates team efforts for smoother and timelier releases, and OperateAgent, which supports operational stability post-deployment by suggesting optimizations, facilitating quick issue resolution, and generating comprehensive training resources.

“Integrating Copado AI into our DevOps processes will help accelerate routine tasks and efficiently troubleshoot errors,” said Aven Santo Domingo, Global Engineering Manager, Consumer Engagement, Kimberly-Clark. “By freeing up our resources, we can shift our focus from maintenance to innovation. It has set a new standard for excellence in software development, speeding up timelines and significantly enhancing deliverable quality.

Copado AI is a game-changer for any organization committed to leading in digital transformation.”

Opsera, a leading Unified DevOps platform provider, has unveiled its enhanced Salesforce DevOps capabilities. The San Francisco-based company, known for its Hummingbird AI-powered platform, is showcasing a suite of new features designed to improve developer experience, bolster code security, and provide AI-driven insights across Salesforce and other SaaS applications. Opsera’s latest platform update introduces several key features, including Automated Git Merge, Jira Integration, CPQ Integration, Enhanced Code Scanning, Hummingbird AI Improvements, and a Revamped User Experience.

In an exclusive interview, Opsera CEO Kumar Chivukula shared insights on the evolving DevOps landscape, highlighting the company’s expansion beyond Salesforce. “Platformization is the new world,” Chivukula stated, emphasizing a growing trend among enterprises to seek unified solutions for managing diverse SaaS applications and development environments. Opsera’s latest innovations come at a time when the company is gaining recognition in the industry.

Recently included in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for the second year running, Opsera is positioning itself as a key player in the evolving “platformization” trend.

Copado’s new AI DevOps agents

The company’s focus on AI-driven insights and cross-application capabilities aligns with broader industry shifts towards more integrated, intelligent DevOps solutions.

Copado has unveiled a series of generative artificial intelligence (AI) agents capable of automating specific tasks encountered by DevOps teams when building and deploying applications on Salesforce’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform. These AI agents have been trained using data Copado has collected over the past decade. David Brooks, Vice President of Products for Copado, stated that the initial agents available will focus on generating code and automating testing.

They will soon be followed by agents aimed at accelerating the creation of user stories, deployment scripts, and optimizing application environments. Unlike co-pilot capabilities that merely assist in creating code, these AI agents can fully automate tasks, thereby making best DevOps practices more accessible to a wider range of application development teams. As DevOps continues to evolve in the AI era, more tasks traditionally done by humans will be automated.

This refined use of generative AI agents, trained on a narrow and focused data set, ensures higher accuracy compared to large language models trained on randomly sourced data. Although the timeline for widespread adoption of agentic AI in DevOps is not clear, it is anticipated that software engineering teams will eventually comprise both human and AI agents working in tandem. DevOps engineers will still play a crucial role in overseeing that tasks are accurately completed, but many of the repetitive tasks that often lead to burnout will be eliminated.

Brooks noted that this reduction in menial tasks should significantly increase the pace not only of code generation but also of application deployment. Organizations will need to assess how comfortable they are with assigning tasks to AI agents. However, as DevOps enters the AI era, many issues that previously hindered large-scale application development are being resolved.

The acceleration in application development means organizations might now have the resources to build more applications that were once sidelined due to resource constraints. As AI continues to advance, the current backlog in application development could become more manageable. In the meantime, DevOps teams should start identifying routine tasks that could be assigned to AI agents.

This would free up human team members to manage workflows at scales previously unimaginable.
