Online Business Is Blossoming, But Still A Drop In the "Bucket"

Microsoft has recently announced that Office Live its online service geared to service small businesses has reached its one millionth user. Office Live enables businesses to create web sites, manage and share contact information, email (with a domain name), email marketing, search engine marketing, commerce and more.

Although many small businesses are online, there are MILLIONS more who are not online and/or using the Internet as a tool to grow their business. When will more businesses join the online revolution?

“From the outset we knew we wanted to tailor Office Live Small Business to the smallest of small businesses because they have unique needs that were not being addressed by any other service at the time,” said Baris Cetinok, director of product management, marketing and planning for Microsoft Office Live Small Business. “We focused on three key things: make the service easy to use, make it affordable and make it all work together.”

Intuit's Homestead, GoDaddy.com, Register.com, Verioa, Yahoo Small Business services and other web hosts make it very easy for you to use online services to grow your business. On the other hand, hiring an expert is a good solution as well. Whether you go it alone or hire an expert, ensuring your business can find customers online and conduct business through the Internet (like selling online) is important.
