Using Your Hosted Applications With No Internet Access
Some months ago, Google announced Google gears, a programming tool set to allow programs to enable their hosted applications to access documents when you are not online. This sounds simple and many companies are offering this feature set.
Zoho.com, one of many services providing an online suite of business applications (spreadsheet, word processor, etc) has now enabled offline access to their service.
As you consider using hosted applications for your company, check if the service provider now or in the future will enable offline access.
Check out Zoho.com's video of this feature here.
