External Storage: Cute and Cheap
Fabrik has released a new line of portable USB drives, Signature Mini, that come in a range of colors, reminding you of gum you would find at a local corner store.
Not only are the drives "cute" but you get 2GB of free storage (pay $5 for unlimited) on Fabrik's Ultimate Backup service providing you with double backup. Backup your data to Fabrik's USB drive and then the drive automatically backs up to Fabrik's online service.
Beyond these small & cute USB drives, Fabrik's SimpleDrive and Pro Drive series have more storage and are more robust and also work with Fabrik's online backup service. If you already have your own drive you can still sign up to Fabrik's service for free (2GB) or pay for the unlimited version.
There are so many storage options for your business. If it's taking you weeks to decide which one is for you, pick any solution for the time being and back up your data!
Dell offers free storage for one year when you buy its Vostro line of computers and possibly other models as well. There's a host of other services such as Mozy and Carbonite. Backupmyinfo provides premium backup services for growing businesses.
External storage solutions from Seagate (which owns Maxtor ) and Western Digital are worth investing in as well. These are a must have for mobile users who might not be backing up to corporate servers on a regular basis.
