Remember: Simple Tools Can Make Big Results

I recently received information that CallWave (makers of voice to text voice mail technologies), announced a $9.95 per month virtual fax number service.
While virtual fax "machines" are not new, Gotvmail, VirtualPBX, J2Global and others offer these services as well, what got me thinking was how many SIMPLE tools are available to help you get more done in less time.
Imagine a simple thing like a fax machine. If you receive a fax to your fax machine, and you're on the road - it's going to be difficult to know a fax even came or even if you know it came to actually read it.
This is why a virtual fax service is important. What about other tools?
I've been using Texter which is a small utility that enables you to enter abbreviated text and then the applet automatically types the text for you. Saves you a lot of time.
There's another powerful tool, Anagram which takes contact information in your emails or anywhere else and inputs it into Microsoft Outlook - no copy and paste or retyping information.
Skype has been around for some time now, but is still a powerful tool. If you're in the basement of a conference room, and have not access to a telephone, using a broadband connection you can still make a telephone call via Skype.
What are some simple tools you use? Comment and let me know.

Even if you aren't sized to compete with the big dogs, customers expect you to bark loud and have similar overhead! Unreasonable, I know, but you can increase your perceived size and look real professional by hooking up with a phone service like GotVMail. They provide a vanity 800 number, an extension range, and customized voice greetings. Actually some big dogs like FedEx employ it, so you will have similar overhead!
