Messiest Desk Contest
Is your desk a messy tangle of wires and cables?
Recognizing that the plethora of computers, speakers, printers and other desktop devices can create mass cable chaos, Avocent launched a contest to find the scariest "spaghetti-mess" desktop (so named because a member of Avocent's team once commented its offices look like an explosion of spaghetti with the cables running everywhere).
To enter, users simply visit www.spaghetti-mess.com for information on how to submit a digital photo or movie clip showing the mess of USB cables on your desktop. Entries will be accepted through 5 p.m. Central Time on Friday, July 27. The best entries will be featured on the Web page, so check back often to check out the competition. Winners will be selected in three categories: Biggest Mess, Most Plugged-in USB Devices, and Most Unique Multiple Computer Set-up.
