Scanners: The Bread and Butter of Some Businesses

Scanners. Hmm. They're not hot technology devices like the buzz words of web 2.0 and VOIP are, but scanners are important technology appliances (tools) for many businesses. For businesses that are very paper intensive like law offices, real estate and construction a scanner is probably more important (or second to) than the phone.
Even those businesses that are not paper intensive, every business should have a good scanner. If you don't have one or yours is old and rickety, HP's got a new scanner for you. The HP Scanjet 7650n.
According to HP's press release, the HP Scanjet 7650n Networked Document Flatbed Scanner quickly captures and archives documents on a network. The HP Scanjet 7650n Networked Document Flatbed Scanner includes a document server to securely integrate the scanner into an existing network and bypass the computer.
With scan speeds up to 12 pages per minute (ppm) or six images per minute (ipm), securely scan and send confidential documents directly to customized destinations, including email, FTP, URL, Web browsers, printers and more.
If you are looking to get more done in your day, the Scanjet 7650n can definitely help.
It will cost $1,000 and be available this month. It's already on HP's UK web site, so you can preview it here.
