NetGear's Continued Embrace of Resellers

Netgear's been selling networking equipment to the small business market since 1996. Headed by Patrick Lo, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Netgear sells it's products through retailers and channel partners. It's now upgrading its partner program.
Integrated Marketing writes The new Netgear Powershift Program is a two-tiered program featuring Gold and Platinum partner levels. Through the program, all of the companies partners will have access to various benefits and tools, including a new partner portal, dedicated sales support resources and a wide range of sales and marketing tools, said Bala Venkat, director of channels marketing for Netgear.
What does this mean to you?
One of the best things you can do for your business is to make sure you partner with companies who are focused on YOUR business and have a plan for growth.
Netgear is such a company.
A winning combination is a great local consultant, who is tied into a great partner (like Netgear). Sure, you want to make sure that your consultant is selling you a product that's best for you and not for them. However, it's to your advantage for your local consultant to have a relationship with a strong vendor.
The benefits? They can offer you better and faster support. They often are more familiar with the vendor's product and can service you better.
