Have Microsoft Office 2007? Change the Default File Format!

Someone recently sent me a file saved in an Excel format.
Instead of being saved as "xls" the file was "xlsb" - the new file format of Microsoft Office 2007. I and others could not open the file but had to first download the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for 2007 file formats.
Although I'm glad Microsoft wants everyone to use it's new file format, if you are using Office 2007 - immediately change the default file format files are saved in back to at least Office 2003.
Guess what?
Most of the world does not yet, nor will for some months, have the latest version of Office 2007. Instead of causing unnecessary grief to your customers, employees and business associates, continue to save files in the standard.doc,.xls and etc file formats.
