"Microsoft" Gets Inside of Best Buy: New VP of Sales

Microsoft and Best Buy have been become strong and stronger partners.
Best Buy's geeks are Microsoft certified to service and sell Microsoft Small Business Server and other Microsoft Software. Microsoft needs Best Buy's Geek Squad and other consultants to keep selling its consumer and possibly more importantly business focused software.
Best Buy announced today that David M. Hemler has joined the company's small business technology solutions arm, Best Buy For Business, as vice president of sales and operations. Hemler will drive the sales strategy and execution of the Best Buy For Business retail and field channels.
What does this mean for your business?
David's challenge will be helping small businesses understand that Best Buy goes beyond break and fix but can be a partner for the long term. Microsoft has an "interesting" position. It must show lots of love to local small business solution providers but also help with the success of Best Buy's Geek Squad, CompUSA's business services division and other type of franchise operations.
"David brings to Best Buy a wealth of experience in delivering technology to help small businesses grow. His well-demonstrated knowledge of the small business environment will help us better serve our Best Buy For Business customers," said Tom Healy, executive vice president, Best Buy For Business.
