New Scanners from Epson

Epson America, Inc. recently announced two fast, affordable document imaging scanners designed for small business workgroups with the Epson GT-2500 and GT-2500 Plus according to an Epson press release.
These flatbed scanners are not only engineered to capture high-quality, 48-bit color scans up to 8.5" x 14" in size, but can do so at resolutions up to 1200 x 1200 dpi for intense detail. They can scan documents up to 27 pages per minute in monochrome (ppm) and up to 11 ppm in color in 300 dpi. Both scanners also come standard with several productivity-enhancing features such as a 50-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF), automatic duplexing, one-button scanning, and more.
The Epson GT-2500's and GT-2500 Plus' ADF and auto-duplex features enable users to feed and scan up to 50 double-sided sheets of paper at 600 x 600 dpi resolution. Another valuable feature on both models is Epson's ColorTrueƓ II imaging technology, which can be used to integrate more advanced hardware and software with these scanners for higher levels of color precision and reduction of scan noise.
The two scanners feature compact designs. They also offer high-speed USB 2.0 connectivity for fast data transmission, and are compatible with a variety of operating systems including Windows 98SE, Me, 2000, and XP operating systems as well as Mac OS X, iMac and MacBook Pro.
