NFIB: Smaller Businesses Continue to Grow
They Need Technology!
The National Federation of Independent Business reports that "Few cries of "humbug" were heard from small-business owners in December and their outlook signals a solid year in 2006".
Having said that it is IMPORTANT that smaller businesses clearly understand the vital role strategically marrying technology AND business will have in how their business grows or does not grow. This point will be hammered home at thupcomingng Small Business Summit
Although small businesses want to grow if they are unable to use technology as a tool to grow their business their growth will be limited. Technology is a DRIVING force. I must caution, however, that CORE business processes are equally vital and must be implemented as well.
NFIB offers these stats:
PLAN TO INCREASE EMPLOYMENT 15 +2
PLAN TO INCREASE CAP. OUTLAYS 33 -1
PLAN TO INCREASE INVENTORIES 9 +1
EXPECT ECONOMY TO IMPROVE 12 +1
EXPECT HIGHER REAL SALES 21 -2
