Virtual PBX Appoints John Coyle VP of Business Development

John Coyle's going to have a tough job and fun job. The market for virtual phone systems is EXPLODING (there's an upcoming story on it that I'm writing for Cnet). On the other hand there is SO much competition - direct (Gotvmail) and indirect competition (Vonage, Verizon M5 Networksand others)

John Coyle has joined the company as Vice President of Business Development. Coyle brings with him over 15 successful years in a combination of channel management, sales, and technical marketing.

"John's extensive knowledge and experience adds a lot to the Virtual PBX management team," said Paul Hammond, CEO of Virtual PBX. "He will play a key role in the development of our partnership and channel programs, where his broad background will serve him well in establishing strong alliances with other important industry players."

Prior to joining Virtual PBX, Coyle was OEM Channel Manager for Xiotech Corporation, a storage networking vendor, where he led a cross-functional team to implement an entirely new channel strategy for the company. Earlier in his career, Coyle spent over 12 years with Hewlett-Packard in positions of increasing responsibility in sales, business development, marketing, and channel management. In addition, he has held channel and sales roles with LSI Logic and Netreon and has extensive industry experience in advisory and consulting roles.
