Single Letter Domain Names Are On The Way: But Don't Use Them
Having a domain name, with your business name or something related to your business is what we are used to. However, soon you will be able to register single letter domain names such as "b.com".
Unless you have a lot of money for some cute branding and advertising campaigns, I'd stick to having a longer name that resonates with your business.
The Washington Post writes writes In response to requests by companies seeking to extend their brands, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers will chart a course for single-letter Web addresses as early as this weekend, when the ICANN board meets in Vancouver, British Columbia. Those names could start to appear next year.
