Palm drops Zire and Tungesten Names
Now that Palm owns the "Palm" name it is going to start using "Palm" more and more in product names. This is not big news for your businesses but it's important for you to know as you shop for Palm products. I use a Dell Axim, Microsoft Pocket PC basaed and am much happier with it than Palm.
Cnet writes "Now that we own the Palm brand again, we are more focused on promoting it. People know us more for Palm than they do for Tungsten or Zire," said Palm product line manager Raj Doshi.
Palm will keep the LifeDrive and Treo names, but will refer to it as the Palm LifeDrive and Palm Treo, Doshi said.
