Lexis-Nexis Continues to Price for SMB

Lexis-Nexis can be expensive. However, they are getting smater and smarter and realize that to expand their reach they'll have to price better to reach smaller businesses. There was so much market they were not selling to by ONLY having pricing for larger businesses.
Knowing what others are saying about you in the media is vital and Lexis-Nexis is one way to do that. Another way is to set up alerts in Yahoo and Google that will email you various online stories/press releases based on criteria you set up.
With this in mind the LexisNexis AlaCarte! service is a pay-as-you-go online information solution for small-to medium-sized businesses and independent professionals. In late summer of this year, LexisNexis AlaCarte! users will be able to search television clips and view streaming video from leading TV news providers, greatly enhancing users' ability to monitor news and trends affecting their companies, their clients or competitors. In addition, a "send to a colleague" function will allow users to send links to TV video clips for viewing.
"Whether you're a freelance journalist monitoring breaking news, or an entrepreneur researching market trends, you will have the ability to go to a convenient, one-stop source for accessing business and legal information and current print, radio, and TV news coverage," said Elizabeth Rector, senior vice president of Corporate and Federal Markets for LexisNexis. "We're committed to helping the small business and independent professional community find the critical information they need, whenever, wherever and in whatever form."
