No Internet Access In My Hotel Room

I'm at a Quality Inn Hotel in Staunton, Virginia and realized that my hotel room has no Internet access. When I say "NO" I mean I can't even unplug the telephone line to get a dial-up connection.
However, the hotel front desk is VERY nice and has lent me their phone jack...thankfully I have my own computer and telephone cord.
I guess that's what I get for paying $40 or so for a hotel on the way to a convention with my family!
