Gateway's Live Chat: Good Tool. Wrong Implementation

I was in the process of buying an extra adapter and a long life battery for my Gateway M320 notebook. I had a question and called the sales number AND clicked on the live chat window (I love trying out technology when I can).

Unfortunately, in order to use the live chat, I had to download an application first.

I appreciate Gateway's efforts to have the live chat tool, which is EXCELLENT for customer service, increasing sales and etc. HOWEVER, this barrier of downloading an application makes the live chat feature less than desirable for customers. There are other live chat tools that do not require a download.

Gateway's live chat is powered by Control F1
