Securing Your Wireless Network
It's Basic But Important Stuff
You are never going to hear experts stop talking about securing your wireless network. Why? Going wireless, means that your network can be accessed REMOTELY with a hacker never physically accessing your hardware. That should SCARE you into wanting your network to be as secure as possible.
Small Business Computing gives several tips to secure your network. Namely:
Use Wireless Encryption (but check out LucidLink.com on why WEP is not good enough)
Use the same vendor
Do a site survey - to make sure you set up your wireless connection in the right place
Put your wireless network on its own, separate network
Setup a secondary authentication mechanism
