GoToMyPC and LogMeIn: Remote Access To Your PC
Thanks to email and online data storage, accessing your PC remotely might be something that less and less of us do. However, there are many who do not have complex VPNs and remote access solutions. A remote PC access solution is your best bet. There are other solutions such as Mirra's Personal Server network appliance that also provide remote access to data on your PC.

Business Week's, Technology and You columnist, Stephen H. Wildstrom reviews two remote PC access services - LogMeIn and GoToMyPC.
I've used both services and am pleased to note that GoToMyPC is a sponsor of smallbiztechnology.com.
Stephen writes Unless you do all your computer work on a laptop that is always at hand, you have probably found yourself in desperate need of information stored on a PC somewhere that you weren't. Two new services, GoToMyPC and LogMeIn, promise simple and secure access to your computer from just about anywhere -- provided, of course, that you leave it on, and online.
