Google Will Start Selling Domain Names

Cnet is reporting that The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), a nonprofit based in Los Angeles, has deemed Google a domain name registrar, according to the search company. However, it has no plans to sell Web addressees for now.

If Google can now sell domain names, they are going to do much more with it than simply observe the market as they claim now. The Cnet report indicates that Google is quickly moving to sell all sorts of online services which his going to be GREAT for the consumer. Remember Gmail, all that free storage which made Yahoo and Hotmail increase their offerings?

Well you can't get much lower than what GoDaddy.com offers...but then again maybe so.
