Cutting Prices - thanks Dell

The wonderful thing about being as efficient as Dell and knowing minute by minute about your entire supply chain is the ability to pass savings on to customers.
Since Dell owns its entire manufacturing and fulfillment channel it can micro-manage its prices and pass the savings it gains to its customers further squeezing out the competition.
Tech Web writes Dell on Monday dropped prices on select servers, workstations, desktops, and laptops aimed at corporate customers, saying it was passing along lower component costs to buyers.
Prices on the Dell PowerEdge 4600 two-way server, for instance, were cut by up to 22 percent, Precision workstations were reduced by as much as $460, and several Latitude notebook configurations have been slashed by up to $220.
