Windows XP's Service Pack 2 Update

Last night the automatic Windows Update utility downloaded the latest updated for Windows XP, Service Pack 2. I was a bit leery of downloading it after hearing so many negative reports, but when ahead anyway.
Today one of the first "improvements" I can see is the Windows Firewall. As I've reported earlier, it's not as good as third party products but it does work. I was able to see that there were two applications sending out data on the Internet that I didn't implicitly ask for. I'm sure it's nothing but it's a bit comforting to know what's being sent out that I didn't know about.
