FREE virus protection - should you pay for the subscription
Symantec, McAfee and I guess others sell subscriptions to their anti-virus products. These subscriptions enable you to regularly update your anti-virus product for one year. The NY Times answers this question and writes No matter which antivirus program you use, it is important to keep your computer updated with the latest virus definition files. These files are available from software manufacturers for an annual fee.
