Redundancy pays off
When I travel, I love to travel light. But I also love to be prepared.
What a paradox.
I travel with my "eBay purchased" IBM Thinkpad 600X (256MB of RAM, and 733MHZ processor - soon I'll hav a new one). I also travel with THREE network cards - two are wireless (802.11a and 802.11b - high speed and higher speed) and one is wired. Guess what? Often times the wireless cards don't work - it's probably a driver problem, so in a pinch I can use the wired networking card or of course use a dial up connection.
Lesson learned, as best as possible carry two or more solutions for your mobile computing needs.
