The pains of technology!
I just finished installing D-Link's wireless PCI adapter network card in a Windows 2000 desktop computer. The first time the installation did not work, but I installed the software again, it easily connected to the D-Link access point and all is fine now.
Lesson learned - technology is a pain but with patience things can work a lot better.
