Microsoft says bye-bye to Wi-Fi

Well, Microsoft can't succeed in EVERY category it sell in.

Selling wireless networking hardware can be lucrative, as D-Link, Linksys, NetGear and others know. However, it's not for everyone as Microsoft has found out. This market is full of existing industry leaders that are doing quite well. For anyone else to jump in - it's going to be tough.

ZDNet writes "After careful evaluation, the Microsoft hardware group has decided to scale back its broadband hardware and networking business," a representative said. "Instead, the plan is to apply the knowledge we have gained in that category to future products and services."
