What advice would you give to a young entrepreneur?
Here's a question posted by a reader? I was seriously thinking about starting a really small business as a learning experience. I am a freshman in high school and I go to a technology oriented school. I am currently taking Information Technology I. Next year I will take Information Technology II and so on and so forth. This year we learned the Office Fundamentals including Microsoft Word XP, Excel XP, PowerPoint XP, and Access XP. We will be taking our Microsoft Office Specialist Core Exams this June. I was wondering over the summer if starting a consulting company that created databases and spreadsheets for extremely small business like a convience store for its clients. I have most of the basic details and have spoken to other entrepreneurs. They have told me that I may have a difficult time with this business due to my age. They also said one way of persuading a potential client is to offer them a trial period. What do you think of all this? Should I go for it?
