EarthLink Offers Security by Subscription
News Factor is reporting that Internet service provider EarthLink is working with security authority Symantec to deliver antivirus and firewall protection for a small monthly fee, targeting consumers and small businesses with the desktop-oriented service.
The subscription offering includes Symantec's well-known Norton AntiVirus and Personal Firewall applications, available as a bundle at US$5.95 per month or separately at $3.95 a month, with billing handled on the EarthLink user's invoice. (full story)
