Review: Back-Up Chargers Fall Short
From AP: They halt conversations in mid-sentence, abandon drivers when tires go flat and can even scuttle business deals. We're talking about quick-draining cell phone batteries ó the Achilles heel of the mobile device age.
With power-hogging games, cameras and navigation systems becoming common features on cell phones, there are now a growing number gizmos designed to provide some power in a pinch if you find yourself without your recharger or an outlet.
I tested two products ó a $5 instant battery and a $30 solar-powered charger. Both had merits but fell short of expectations. (full story)
