Web Host 1and1 launches fee based advertising
Maybe I'm a bit late on this but I just noticed today, while flipping through the March 2004 issue of Computer Shopper magazin that web host 1and1 is now charging for their web hosting. They had been running advertisements touting their "free" hosting - for a year - I think it was.But now I see they have a three page adv with their prices starting at $4.99 to $19.99.
They offer quite a bit of features that most web hosts do not offer - such as - web based database, a newsletter tool, online forms, and a chat sessino tool. Most web hosts do not offer these features at this price ($19.99 per month).
I hope 1and1 succeeds and does well. How will we know - their customers will be the judge.
