Yahoo News: HP Reports $2.5 Billion in Linux Revenue
My spin: This is in the larger enterprise market, but keep watching the big bucks for Linux in the SMB market will soon appear.
Providing strong evidence that Linux (news - web sites) is a serious contender in the enterprise, HP (NYSE: HPQ - news) has announced some US$2.5 billion in Linux-based revenue for 2003 -- up 40 percent from 2002. The company also unveiled a number of new additions to its Linux portfolio. (full story)
