Verizon Wireless Could Trump Rivals -CEO
My spin: I use Verizon for my cell phone and absolutely love their customer service - fast and friendly via phone or email!
Yahoo News - Verizon Wireless, a venture of Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ - news) and Vodafone Group Plc. (VOD.L) could soon have as many customers as its two largest U.S. rivals combined, given current growth rates, Chief Executive Denny Strigl said on Thursday.
Strigl made the prediction a week after AT&T Wireless Services Inc. (NYSE:AWE - news), the second-biggest rival to No. 1 Verizon, put itself up for sale and No. 2 Cingular Wireless (NYSE:SBC - news)(NYSE:BLS - news) was tipped as a potential suitor. (full story)
