News Factor: New Mobile Standard Helps Maintain One Web

My spin: With the increasing use of cell phones and PDA's that can acess web sites, it might be important to ensure your web site, or parts of it, can be accessed by mobile users. The new mobile standard might help.
The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has released a new specification designed to allow mobile devices of all makes and sizes to display Web pages.
The Composite Capability/Preference Profiles: Structure and Vocabularies 1.0 Recommendation (CC/PP 1.0), which is already in use on many mobile devices, must now be adopted at the server level on a wider scale. (full story)
