Gateway Posts Wider Loss as Sales Decline
My spin: So will Gateway continue to decline or will it every get better. Maybe Dell could just buy Gateway and take it out of its misery?
Washington Post: Personal computer maker Gateway Inc. on Thursday posted a wider net loss as its move into consumer electronics failed to offset pricing pressure on PCs.
Chief Financial Officer Rod Sherwood said in a telephone interview that the company would not give its financial outlook for the current, first quarter.
"We're not providing guidance at this time," Sherwood said. "We'll have more to say along those lines in the near future." (full story)
