Ziff Davis' new venture - Business 4 Site - can it compete
Most IT trade shows are not doing so well. CeBit, had low attendance this past June, but then again it was its first time in the USA. PC EXPO, which used to be in June, but its spot was taken by CeBit also had a steep drop in attendance and exhibitors. Comdex, Internet World (probably) and other events are all experiencing drops in attendance and exhibitors. It goes without saying that the down economy, fears of terrorism (but how long can we blame things on "9-11") and other factors are contributing to a downturn in the exhibit market. (full story)
