NY Times: A PC Salesman Who Pushes the Right Buttons
Emeryville, Calif. HARALD LEVENTHAL has little patience with the sales clerks at computer stores, who often seem to know less about the products they sell than he does.
"I usually feel lucky if they can spell 'computer,' " said Mr. Leventhal, who runs a Bay Area firm that manages small foundations. "I feel like I'm insulting them if I ask a technical question."

My spin: Salespersons like Mr. Garcia are what DRIVES sales at retail stores. Staples and all the rest should take note.
