NY Times: I.B.M. Says It Benefits 2 Ways From On-Demand Computing
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 12 - I.B.M.'s chief executive, Samuel J. Palmisano, said Wednesday that his company had generated $7 billion in orders in the last year for its the "on demand" computing services.
At the same time, Mr. Palmisano said, I.B.M. had applied its on-demand computing techniques to its own operations for a saving of an additional $7 billion. (full story)
