News Factor: I.T. Chiefs Form Security Council
Security pros representing corporate, government and academic circles have joined forces to address online threats to business and to examine methods for maintaining I.T. network integrity.
Members of the Global Council of CSOs (chief security officers) think tank have agreed to share information on Internet security, play a role in implementing the national strategy to secure cyberspace, and work with vendors to reduce risks. (full story)
My spin: But will this matter. There are so many security bodies and organizations from Cert to others. Somtimes I wonder if vendors, organizations and the government just create bodies for the sake of politics or to really get something done.
