IOGEAR Flexes Its Wi-Fi Product Power
Launches Wireless Adapter and Notebook Network Card
IOGEAR, the mobile connectivity and peripheral specialist, has introduced its Wireless-G to USB 2.0 Flex Adapter and Wireless-G to Notebook Network Card. Both products allow users wireless capabilities for Internet surfing, networking, file sharing and printing.
The USB 2.0 Flex Adapter's innovative design lets users rotate the device 300 degrees in any direction and pivot 180 degrees for optimum reception. The Flex Adapter plugs directly into an USB port rather than depending on an USB extension cable and can work equally well with both notebook and desktop systems. The product conforms to the 802.11g standard and uses a USB 2.0 connection, which provides increased reception distance and higher data transfer rates. The versatile design is backward compatible with 802.11b devices. IOGEAR's advanced wireless security helps mobile professionals feel at ease when connecting from any location.
The new Notebook Network Card provides users with a 54Mbps wireless connection speed, which is almost five times faster than 802.11b. Its low profile antenna board enables room for other CardBus card connections to operate simultaneously. Software is included that allows the CardBus to function as an Access Point for systems running Windows XP.
The Flex Adapter is priced at $89.95 (MSRP), while the Notebook Network Card is $69.95 (MSRP). Both are available immediately from all major catalog resellers, online resellers and selected retail outlets.
