FilesAnywhere Adds a New Dimension to Online File Storage with FileViews(TM)
FilesAnywhere (www.FilesAnywhere.com) unveiled a breakthrough file management feature today that lets users organize, search and share documents online by creating virtual "views" of their files. The innovative feature, called FileViews, provides a new categorized indexing and search functionality using a standard web browser, which no other storage provider has.
FileViews is yet another tool in the arsenal FilesAnywhere has recently added, carving a new niche for the online storage leader in the document management arena. Just last month, the application service provider introduced version control, version history and file sharing features to its web-based storage service. With all of the new document management features, Dallas-based FilesAnywhere has already seen an increase in new contracts from large organizations in need of distributed file collaboration for employees, clients and partners.
FileViews address the limitation of having just a single file structure -- now users can categorize files in multiple folder hierarchies, using drag-and- drop links to original files and folders. This makes it very easy to find and work with related files, organized by any number of user-defined categories. The "virtual folder" ability of FileViews creates a new way to organize and manage files. Users can also combine files and folders from multiple folder locations and share all of them from a single shared FileView folder.
My spin: There's many of these file sharing services around, but there's so many businesses that still need to take advantage of these type of online solutions.
