Tech Web: Red Hat Thrives In Second Quarter
The Linux vendor posted significant gains in revenue and net income, though it's had to spend a lot of time defending the operating system legally. (full story)
My spin:At PC Expo, someone, who's close to the Linux movement, told me that Red Hat was becoming the next Microsoft of the Linux world. Hmmmm...I guess money changes people from that "we love everyone - free software - community" feeling to one of we need to make money, grow and be a real business.
