New AOL version 9.0 draws praise


My spin: I've posted before on this, however it's worth saying again. Although AOL is NOT for business use, even though many use it for business this new version will be good for thos who insist on using AOL for business (and others of course) email.

Cnn.com News Clip: NEW YORK (AP) -- Finally, I can read and write e-mail on America Online without feeling as if I'm playing with a toy.

In its latest version, AOL's software has grown up, no longer favoring simplicity over versatility. A companion program called AOL Communicator has even more flexibility, matching features found in many standalone e-mail programs.

The new software also plays catch-up on a host of other features, including parental controls and spam filters. (full story)
