Gateway Names Ford Exec to Senior Marketing Post
My spin: No matter what Wall Street says we can't fault Gateway for not continuing to MOVE forward and DO THINGS. It's not standing still but continuing to go forward.
News Clip: POWAY, Calif., June 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Gateway, Inc. (NYSE: GTW) announced today that it has named Kristen Simmons, who serves as vice president of marketing at Ford Motor Co.'s Mazda North America unit, to the newly created position of senior vice president, consumer marketing. Ms. Simmons, who will begin work in early July, will be responsible for all of Gateway's consumer marketing strategy, planning and execution, and will play a key role in evolving the company's brand management strategy and managing its agency resources. She will report to T. Scott Edwards, who serves as executive vice president, consumer.
