News Factor: EarthLink Has New Way To Put a Lid on Spam E-mail
My spin: Amen, amen. I get over 100 spam messages per day. It's annoying and expensive. Not so much for mer personal, the epxensive part but my ISP wasts valuable storage space in transporting this stuff!!! Oh for a 90% + solution!
News Clip: One of the United States' largest ISPs is about to deploy what may be the best line of defense so far in the war against unwanted e-mail. EarthLink plans to introduce anti-spam technology, dubbed challenge-response, that could prevent spammers from flooding the Internet and corporate e-mail systems with billions of junk e-mail messages.
