NYTimes: Internet Is Losing Ground in Battle Against Spam
My spin My email provider Zorka uses Spamassassin.org to scan for email and although it tags some email as spam, once in a blue moon it's 90%+ effective at reducing spam. I hardly get any.

Confronted by an increasing number of individuals, businesses and Internet service providers using software meant to identify and discard unwanted junk e-mail ó commonly known as spam ó Ms. Sachs has been forced to become more creative in her marketing pitches. The subject line on her credit e-mail, for example, now reads "get a fresh start."
